Mrs. John Burke

MAQUOKETA, Iowa -- Mrs. John (Celine) Burke, 59, of Maquoketa, died at 1 am Sunday, June 7, 1987, at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center, Dubuque.

Services will be at 1 pm Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call until 9 pm Monday at Haylock, O'Hara & Kedley Funeral Home, Maquoketa, where the parish rosary will be said at 7:30 pm.

Mrs. Burke was born Aug. 8, 1927, at Otter Creek and graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy, Dubuque, in 1945. She was married Oct. 17, 1950, in Dubuque; they farmed in the Maquoketa area.

Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Kathleen Ann Burke of Pine Bluff, Ark.; a son, William J. of Long Grove; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Arlene Huber of East Dubuque, Ill., and a brother, Paul V. Anglin of Hinsdale, Ill.
