Mrs. Celesta Bingaman of 126 Chestnut St. died Lewistown Hospital at 6:30 Wed. evening. She had been a patient but an hour and 1/2 having been taken there following a stroke of apoplexy which she suffered while shopping on Market St. with her daughter. Mrs. Clay [sic] Aurand. Mrs. Bingaman was first taken to the office of Dr. J R W Hunter & from there removed to the hospital. She was 59y 3m old. She was a daughter of Peter & Ellen Showers Hartman & is survived by her husband, Lando Bingaman & by the following children, Hazen L. Bingaman, 128 Chestnut St, Mrs. Percy (Mary) Shoop of 602 S. Grand St., Mrs. Ray (Alma) Aurand 501 Lindbergh Way, also by 6 grandchildren. A brother & sister are living E. B. Hartman of Harrisburg & Mrs. L. A. Stine of Penns Creek. Mrs. Bingaman was a member of First Meth. Church. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday afternoon at the home 126 Chestnut St. in charge of her pastor Rev. Geo. E Johnson. Interment will be made in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
