The Miracode transcript of 1910 census for Lewistown, Mifflin County, erroneously lists Lando C. Bingaman as being married to "Anita" and having 3 children, named Harry L, age 12; Ann E., age 9; and Mary A, age 3. Harry was really Hazen, who was born in 1908 per the Social Security death records; Ann was really Alma and Anita was really Celesta. This illustrates one of the problems of relying on old census records: The accuracy of the information is compromised by the readability of enumerator's handwriting. In this case, either the enumerator made mistakes or the transcriber couldn't read the notes and guessed at what they said.
