From: Shaun Martin <shaunmartin11@@earthlink.net> To: gkarcher@@sprynet.com Subject: 1812 Project Date: Sunday, February 11, 2001 5:00 AMDear Gerard,

I am a descendant of Catherine Schott, born 1798-1800, probably in Moore Township, Northampton County. All signs are pointing that she was the daughter of Theobald Schott who was the son of Theobald Schott and Christina Reisen of Lehigh County. I am lacking proof, however. Any information you could provide would be most appreciated. My Catherine married Henry Schlegel of Moore Township around 1819, and moved to Butler County, PA in 1827. I have a lot of info on their descendants.

Thanks

Dear Shaun, I am going away for a week, on Friday. Send me your mailing address and I will send you excerpts from Theobald Schott Jr.'s will, when I get back. Theobald Jr. married Salome (last name unknown) around 1788, son Theobald III born 1789, Elizabeth born 1791, Salome born 1793, Susannah born 1795, Johannes born 1797, Catherine born about 1799 and Lydia born 1804/05. In 1812, Salome Schott died and in 1813 Theobald married Elizabeth Weldy, a widow with children. They had a daughter Julianna in 1815. Around 1826, Theobald, wife, 2 sons, daughters Lydia and Julianna, and some of the Weldy step-children moved to Sparta, Livingston County, New York. Theobald died there February 9, 1833. He is buried there. I have a lot of research on this family, but it is not in my computer. However, I am more than happy to share with a cousin. Theobald III, born 1789, was my gr.-gr.-gr.-grandfather. His daughter Lydia was married to William Karcher. They are my gr.-gr.-grandparents. Gerard Karcher ----------
