I am a descendant of Catherine Schott from Moore Township, Northampton County, PA. I believe she was the daughter of Theobold Schott, and I am looking for proof. Have you found any information on Theobold, ancestors or descendants? Thanks Shaun From: R.Musselman <ram@@enter.net> To: <shaunmartin11@@earthlink.net> Date: 2/5/01 5:40:03 PM Subject: Re: Theobold Schott of PA Shaun, I do not know much about Catherine, daughter of Theobold. She is not my direct line and I have never done any research on her except for noting some items found while doing other research. Here is what I have specifically on Catherine:

Lehigh Church, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pa. Catharina Schot baptized 13 November 1774, child of Dewald Schot and wife Christina. Sponsors were Heinrich Wetzel and wife. Lehigh Church, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pa. Catharina Schot was confirmed at the age of 16 on 22 April 1791. I am descended from Theobald's daughter Maria Margaretha who married John Shafer. I have never determined if Theobald was the immigrant or who his parents were. Apparently there were two Theobold Schotts in Northampton County. I believe my Catherine, who was born around 1800, was the daughter of the other one. The couple you describe below also appear in Northampton County church records, if they are the same Theobald and Christina that had a son Carl on November 26, 1810 (seems kind of improbable actually). Carl's sponsors were Theobold and Salome Schott. Thanks again, Shaun From: R.Musselman <ram@@enter.net> To: <shaunmartin11@@earthlink.net> Date: 2/6/01 6:11:41 AM Subject: Re: Theobold Schott of PA

Yes, there were more than one Theobald in Moore Township. You did not give me enough information in your first message to allow me to determine which generation you were working with. Theobald was a given name used in each generation in this family. You may have been referring to Theobald, son of the Theobald I had first listed. The son was born about 1766 and married twice. First wife was Salome who died about 1810.:

Lehigh Church, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County, Pa. Dewald Schot was confirmed at the age of 16 on 25 March 1785.

Theobald and Salome had a son Theobald b.1792 who married Christine Zerfass b.abt.1808. Carl Schott was born 26 Nov.1810, a son of this couple.
