"A Brief History of the Andrew Jackson Byerly Family of PA and IA" by Fred Irwin Byerly, states: "Casper Byerly, who was born August 24, 1727 and died Nov 7, 1794, lived in Dauphin Co., PA. He was likely a cousin of the Lancaster Byerlys. Many of his descendants lived in the middle west, Ohio, Iowa, etc. He served in the Colonial Wars of the U.S."

From Egle, Notes and Queries, Vol. 3, p. 532: "Casper Byerley, b. Aug 24, 1727 - d Nov 7, 1794; bur in Shoop Church Yard, Lower Paxtang Twp., wife Catherine, b. 1729, d. Apr 1799; issue-- Andrew, Elizabeth, wife of Stephen Reese, Jacob, Mary, wife of George Wilby, Michael, Philip." This is also noted in "A Genealogical Index of Miami Valley Pioneers, Ohio" by Lindsey Brien.

1992 IGI, Philip, youngest son of Casper and Catherine listed as John Philip Bayerle, christened 17 Aug 1777, Hummelstown, Dauphin Co., PA, Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
