    1920 - 2011
    Carrie M. Stanley Peake, 90, of Huddy, Ky., passed away Monday, January 17, 2011, at her residence.

    She was born March 6, 1920, in McDowell County, WV., the daughter of late Monsie Stanley and Minnie Susan Frith Stanley.

    She was a homemaker, a member of Stone Chapter #533 Order
    of Eastern Star and a member of the Stone United Methodist Church.

    She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest N. Peake, two brothers, Raymond Stanley and Monsie R. Stanley Jr.

    She is survived by one daughter, Susan (Peake) (Everette "Rusty") Thompson of Lexington, Ky., one son, David Brian (Debbie Woods) Peake of Hardy, Ky., three grandchildren, Kelli (Thompson) (Dale) Krantz,
    Russell (April) Thompson and Melissa (Jamie) Stacy, five great-grandsons, Taylor Stacy, Dalton Stacy, Dakota Stacy, Pavel Krantz and Evan Russell Thompson, one brother, Joe Stanley of Princeton, WV., her best friend for over 50 years, Juanita Waskey and a host of family and friends.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011, in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Brother J. D. Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, Ky.

    Visititation will be held after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.

    Dale Krantz, Terry Kinser, Ronnie Kinser,William Jones, Greg King, Randall West and Jeff Hatfield serving as pallbearers.
