CARL EDWARD ZIMMERMAN, age 97, of Sidney, Ohio died peacefully in his home on November 8, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel W. and Delcie Laura (Croft) Zimmerman. He is survived by his wife of 73 years Patricia Ann (Medaugh) and children Theresa (David) Marlow, Cynthia (Rick) Oremus, Kevin Zimmerman, Craig Zimmerman (Gail), Lisa Michalowski (Ahmed Clay), Kent (Linda) Zimmerman, Laura (Edwin) Booth, Martha Zimmerman, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Carl graduated from Spencerville High School and proudly served in the U. S. Navy. He was a long-standing member of the American Legion Post 217 in which he served as Commander and was a dedicated member of the Singing Soldiers. Carl and Pat were members of Grace Baptist Church for nearly 50 years. Carl loved music, gardening, crossword puzzles and the Cincinnati Reds and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 at 1 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Alter officiating. Immediately following the service, Military Honors will be presented by Sidney American Legion Post 217. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 AM until the time of service. A Private Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday at Spencerville Cemetery in Spencerville, Ohio.
