    Carl Larson was born September 6, 1839 at Grandlund, Julita, Sweden. He was married to Katherine Larson. This union was blessed with four children, three of them dying in infancy. Mr. Larson and his wife came to American in the spring of 1886 and settled on a farm at Brantford where he continued to live until his death.
    He was converted to Christ in 1889 and became a member of the Swedish Mission Church in 1901, remaining a faithful member until after a long illness death claimed him Thursday Aug. 14, 1913 at the age of 73 years 11 months and 8 days. He leaves to mourn their loss the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Albertina Carlson, one step-son L. E. Lundquist, one step-son in Sweden and several grandchildren.
    Mr. Larson was a kind and loving husband and father and a friend who everyone respected.
    The funeral was held Saturday August 16th., at the Mission Church, Rev. Peterson having charge of the services assisted by Rev. Reindahl of the Baptist church. The remains were laid to rest in the church cemetery.

    Carl Larson was born September 6, 1939 at Grandlund, Julita, Sweden.
    He was married December 13, 1863 to Katherine Larson. This union was blessed with four children, three of whom are gone before.
    Mr. Larson and his wife came to Kansas in the spring of 1886 and settled on the farm at Brantford, Kansas with his stepson, L. E. Lundquist where he continued his residence until death.
    He was converted to Christ in 1889 and become a member of the Swedish Mission Church in 1901 and remained a faithful member until death claimed him for his better home, after several months illness. August 14, 1913, having reached the age of 73 years, 11 months and 8 days.
    He leaves to mourn their loss his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Albertina Carlson, one step-son, L. E. Lundquist and one step-son in Sweden and several grandchildren.
    Mr. Larson was a kind and loving husband and father and a friend whom everyone respected.
    The funeral was held Saturday, August 16 at the Mission Church conducted by Rev. Peterson assisted by Rev. Reindahl. The remains were laid to rest in the Church cemetery.
