Moved from Pennsylvania to Nickerson, Neb., about 1890. He operated a blacksmith shop in North Bend until about 1921 when he moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where he worked as a blacksmith at Griffin Freight Car Wheel Co. until his retirement. He was a mamber of the I.O.O.F. lodge.
