    94. Dr. Caleb (Bushnell), b. Norwich, Conn. 26 May 1679, d. there, 12 Feb. 1724/5, m. 24 July 1699/1700, Anne Leffingwell, his 1st cousin, … dau. of Ensign Thomas and Mary (Bushnell) Leffingwell. Dr. Caleb Bushnell was a prominent physician of Norwich, had a large practice, and accumulated a very substantial property for that period. He served as Townsman in 1709, and 1711 and 1714. He was granted a convenient place for building vessels on the west side of the river opposite the landing place, and in May 1718, he was commissioned Capt. of the train band. He was interred in the Old Burying Ground at Norwichtown, a suburb of Norwich, Conn."
