Burwell Horne died before the Spring Term of the Anson County Superior Court in 1884 Burwell Horne and W[illiam] E Horne were the sons of Elisha Horne. Elisha Horne died in 1842 [sic] in Cedar Creek [Anson County] Burwell Horne was the father of James Horne (died before his father) Heirs of Burwell Horne were: Sophia Buchanan (John A.) Fanny Jones (James) Shaler Horne Randolf Horne John Horne Joel J. Horne M. W. Duncan [daughter of Agnes Horne and Martin Duncan] Fanny Jones, Shaler Horne and Randolf Horne were heirs of Burwell's son James and not living in North Carolina in 1884 ----- Burwell Horne was considered insane for the latter 20 years or more of his life, incompetent and unable to deal with business. ----- Delsy (Dilsy) Horne, a former female slave, was sold by Burwell Horne 3 Jan 1843 to W. E. Horne. She did was living in 1891 but did not know her age. [Images 1464 and 1465]
