Burrall Wesley Boettner

Burrall Wesley Boettner, 90, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents and all 4 siblings.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 64 years, Gloria, son Jeff and his wife Cindy, daughter Kim and her partner Maria Curtin, grandsons, Keith and his wife Hannah, Troy and his wife Lydia, granddaughter Brandy, and great-granddaughter Lorelei.
Burrall was born on Dec 14, 1926 in Jeannette, PA to Burrall W. Boettner, Sr and Katharine Loughner Boettner. He was a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and moved his family in 1956 to Florida where he worked for Grumman Aerospace for 15 years as part of the space program and the Apollo missions. After leaving Grumman, he and Gloria managed Sea Coast Gardens II and III in New Smyrna Beach for 30 years before retiring in 2002.
Burrall served in the US Army during the Korean War and was active as a Bahia Shriner and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of New Smyrna Beach, recently being recognized as a 50-year member.
There will be no funeral services. His cremation will be handled by Baldwin Brothers and he will be laid to rest at Sea Pine Memorial Gardens, Edgewater, FL.
