    Mrs. Clayton L (Bess) Whitmore, retired nurse and long time resident of Casper and Wyoming, died Monday afternoon at memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She came to the Basin area in 1912 from Bradley, Mich. and later to Casper, in 1921, making her home here since that time. [Not true.] Her husband died in 1937 in St. Petersburg, Fla. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Fourth Casper Chapter OES; and Rebekah Lodge No. 39. Mrs. Whitmore is survived by a daughterm Mrs. Carl Kropp of Casper, a grandson, Harold Whitmore of Philadelphia, Pa., and two great grandchildren. Private funeral services are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Chapel. The bod will be forwarded to St. Petersburg, Fla., for interment.
