Is Benjamin Melvin who died testate on 20 Sep 1786 in Winchester, NH identical to Benjamin Melvin born 17 Feb 1694/95 in Charlestown, MA? No he was not. See notes on his profile. That Benjamin Melvin died sometime between 23 Jul 1740 when he enlisted for the Spanish War and 6 July 1748 when the distribution of his brother David's estate notes a description of land "bounded northwardly on Land Belonging to the Heirs of Benjamin Melven Dec'd." Therefore these two men are not identical.
