Facts and Events
Benjamin was mentioned by J. Percy Crayon as the father of John Jackson, the father of Phebe Jackson who married Daniel Lampson. Research is ongoing to learn who this Benjamin and John are related to. It is inferred that these Jacksons are somehow related to the Joseph Jackson family of Morris County, New Jersey.

There is a logical conjecture that this Benjamin, father of John, is the same Benjamin who was born in 1744, the son of James Jackson Jr. and his second wife, Mary Fitz Randolph Thorne. It is known that Benjamin's father, James Jr., followed his brothers, Joseph, John and William "to the wilds of New Jersey" where Joseph is said to have founded Rockaway and John founded Dover, both in areas that became Morris County.
