BIOGRAPHY: The American Genealogist. v.15:1, July 1938, p. 219. Benjamin Fifield, born about 1648 (aged about 52 in 1700). He settled in Hampton Falls. He served on juries 1679, '83, '93; constable '98, '99; selectman '87; representative '97; clerk of company '99. He was killed by Indians 1 Aug 1706 " and a lad his kinsman carried away." (This record may refer to Stephen Fifield, son of William Fifield b. Feb 1, 1651/52.) Adminstration was granted on Benjamin's estate 3 Sept. 1706 to his youngest son, Jonathan. He married 28 Dec 1670, Mary Colcord, who died in Hampton Falls 23 Nov. 1741, aged 93. She was the daughter of Edward Colcord and Ann Wadd of Dover.
