MRS. JOHN ROSENOW IS CALLED TUESDAY
Had Been In Ill Health for More Than a Year - Death Was Due to Attack of Pneumonia.
Funeral Services Will Be Conducted This Afternoon at 2:30 O'clock at Trinity Church.
Mrs. John Rosenow, since 1885 a resident of this community, passed away Tuesday after a year's illness. During the past year she had been in poor health and recently suffered an attack of pneumonia which was the immediate cause of death.
Augusta Kaske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kaske, was born August 14, 1856, at Newsteteen, Germany. She grew to womanhood in the community in which she was born and was there married in 1874 to John Rosenow.
Mr. and Mrs. Rosenow came to the United States in 1880. For somewhat more than three years the made their home in Cleveland, Ohio, and for a short time thereafter were residents of Franklin, Wisconsin. In 1885 they moved to Round Prairie township, in this county.
Surviving her death are Mr. Rosenow and the following children of this community: Mrs. Paul Stephan, Mrs. Alfred Schroeder, Mrs. Clayton Parker, Mrs. Fred Minke, William, George, Walter and John Rosenow; Mrs. D.M. Kibbe of Staples, and Mrs. Annie Grosenick, of Saskatchewan, Canada. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Amelia Hillerger, in Germany, 34 grandchildren and 12 great granchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran curch. In the absence of the Rev. E.T. Heyne, Rev. Robert Koehler will officate and interment will be made in the church cemetery.
