    Mrs Audra Neam James, age 90, died at 7:30 am today at Hedrick Medical Center. She had been a resident of the Chillicothe area all of her life.

    Mrs James was born March 26, 1888 at Hale, the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Hayden Dowell. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe; the Order of the Eastern Star, and the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Kirksville.

    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Mary Elizabeth Lupton, Assumption, Illinois; a grandson, Richard Lupton, Smackover, Arkansas; a great-grandchild [name not given]; a brother, S Taylor Dowell, Chillicothe; one sister, Mrs Myrtle Simpson, Farmington, New Mexico, and several nieces and nephews.

    Mrs James was preceded in death by her parents, husband, M R James, who died in 1959, and five brothers.

    Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday at the chapel of the Gordon Home for Funerals with the Reverend Walter L Bingham officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood cemetery.

    Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 am Sunday.
