M.R. JAMES DIED THIS MORNING AT AGE OF 70
Retired Accountant Had Lived here Since 1933.
M R James, 70, a resident of Chillicothe since 1933, died at about 10:30 this morning at the Chillicothe hospital.
He had not been well for nine years but had been seriously ill only a short time. He underwent surgery at the hospital on March 13.
Mr James, who resided here at 1215 Clay street, was a retired accountant. He was a charter member of the Kirksville, Missouri Kiwanis club and served the club as secretary for many years. He also was a former member of Molla Shrine.
Survivors are the wife, of the home; one daughter, Mrs C A Lupton, Assumption, Illinois; one grandson, Richard Lupton, Assumption, and two sisters, Mrs E R Conklin, St Louis, and Mrs Larry Glenn, Pomona, California.

The body was removed to the Gordon Home for Funerals. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
