Facts and Events
He was a minor in 1819, as per a report of a legal case he had against his Uncle James W. Alexander in 1832. His guardian was Asa C. Alexander, brother of James W. Wooten. This was all very strange in that Asa C. Alexander, the guardian, was now deceased and so much time had passed it was difficult to prove that a note payable to the plaintiff had been paid. The jury finally decided in favor of James W. Wooten the defendant. This is from Early (Joel?), Robert P. Dews, columns 103, 104, 105, apparently copies of a newspaper. This is from Patti Andrews and I cannot make out the name of the book. I have a xeroxed copy of the pages. I think this took place in Taliaferro Co., Georgia. |
