NEWELL, Arthur L. - Funeral services for Arthur L. Newell, 80, 2713 Elm St., will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. J. Timothy Lann, pastor of Birchwood Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Newell died Wednesday (Jan. 21, 1987) in Bellingham. He was born March 6, 1906, in Oak Harbor and had lived in the Bellingham area since 1917. He attended Birchwood Presbyterian Church. Mr. Newell was interested in hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle, of Bellingham; one son, Gary Newell of Custer; two stepchildren, Betty Hanks and Gene McCann, both of Bellingham; three brothers, Murl, Roy and Ted Newell, all of Bellingham; four sisters, Thelma Leonard, Geneva Todahl, Sue William and Betty Addicott, all of Bellingham; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
