NEWELL, Guy L., age 72 years, of 2314 Jaeger Street, passed away at the family home, Friday, April 9, (1948) following a lingering illness. Mr. Newell had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 31 years, and was a retired railroad man. He is survived by five sons, Murl, city, Theodore, U. S. Army Air Corps, stationed in Texas, Arthur, Roy, both of the city, Wickliffe, Seattle; five daughters, Mrs. Betty Selhaver, at home, Mrs. Frank Zettle, Mrs Herbert Norbisrath, Mrs. Paul Floyd, Mrs. Elroy Todahl, all of the city; one brother, Roy Newell, Clinton, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Wray McLeod, Mrs. Stella Howard, Everett; twenty grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 13, at 2 p. m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home with Mr. Harry Maxwell officiating. Interment in Bay View Cemetery.
