Gender Female
Birth[1] 12 Aug 1870
Marriage 3 Dec 1886 to Leroy Newton Cherry
Death? 17 Apr 1945 Searcy Co, AR

Widow living in St. Joe, AR in 1840. The family story was that she married Newt at age 14, and was kicked out of the house and told never to return. Didn’t see family again until she returned to Arkansas as a grandmother.[1]

Census and other records indicate she married Leroy Newton Cherry, her half-cousin, and their oldest child to leave records was born in 1897. She is not found again in census records until 1920, by which time Newt is gone, and she is living with his mother in Clay County, Tennessee. After her mother-in-law dies, she appears in Arkansas living with her daughter Nellie.
