Mrs. Arkansas Mary Null, wife of G. B. Null, of north Jefferson St., died Wednesday morning at 2:15 o'clock from bronchial pneumonia after an illness of a week's duration. The funeral will be Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of by the Rev. W. A. Shullenberger. Mrs. Null was Miss Arkansas Mary Bowen, of Warren county where she was born in 1840. She was married to Mr. Null on April 25, 1861 in Warren county. They moved to this city in 1869 where they have resided ever since. Besides a husband, the following close relatives survive her. Three daughters; Mrs. Nettie Quisenberry of St. Louis; Mrs. Josie Quisenberry of this city, and Mrs. C. L. Anderson of Rockford, Ill. One son T. J. Null of Mexico. A sister and brother survive. They are Mrs. Mattie Speary and Noah L. Bowen, both of Vandalia. Mrs. Null was a fine Christian character, a woman beloved by all who knew her and one who leaves a host of sorrowing friends. The Ledger joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved. |
