    Frances was enumerated with her husband, Simon Haas under the name of "Frnacis Haas" on the 1870 U. S. Census for Napoleon, Henry County, Ohio. She was listed as a 20-year-old female born in Prussia as were both of her parents.3
    Frances was enumerated as the wife of Simon Haas under the name of "Frances Haas" on the 1880 U. S. Census for Ohio. She was listed as a married 30-year-old female born in Prussia as were both of her parents.6 Frances Racht and Simon Haas moved in 1887 from Napoleon, Ohio to Indiana. Moving with Frances were Joseph J. Haas.7
    Frances Racht purchased property described as part of Barnett's out lot 4 at Indiana in June 1897 from Joseph Racht.8 Her husband, Simon Haas, died on 17 December 1900; of cancer of the stomach.7
    Frances Haas was listed in Catherine Racht's obituary as surviving.9 Frances Racht was a charter member of at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.5
    Frances died on 12 August 1939 at 136 West Leith Street in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana.1,2 Her obituary was published in the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel Newspaper on 13 August 1939.1 Her obituary stated:

Mrs. Frances Haas, 89, died at 6:40 o'clock last night at her home at 136 West Leith street, after an illness of only a few days. Mrs. Haas was born in Germany, but was brought to Fort Wayne by her parents when she was little more that a year old. Active until a short time before her death, she was well know in Catholic Church circles. She was a charter member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, but in recent years had attended St. Patrick's Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society. Her husband, Simon Haas, died 40 years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Geiger; a son, Frank Geiger, and 10 grandchildren, all of Fort Wayne. The body was taken to the Mungovan & Sons mortuary and will be returned to the home Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be announced later
