!BIRTH-PARENTS-CENSUS-MARRIAGES-DEATH-BURIAL: Stephen A. White, DICTIONNAIRE GENEALOGIQUE DES FAMILLES ACADIENNES; 1636-1714; Moncton, New Brunswick, Centre d'Etudes Acadiennes, 1999, 2 vols.; p. 434; own copy.

!BIRTH-MARRIAGES: Bona Arsenault, HISTOIRE ET GENEALOGIE DES ACADIENS; 1625-1810; Ottawa, Editions Lemeac, 1978, 6 vols.; pp. 930-931 (Beabuassin); own copy. Anne CYR, born around 1709, daughter of Jean & Francoise MELANSON, married 1st to Francois CORMIER, son of Francois & Marguerite LE BLANC; 2nd to Francois [could this be Jean-Baptiste?] ARSENAULT, son of Abraham & Jeanne GAUDET.

Also on p. 2204 (Miquelon): As a widow she was at Miquelon in 1767 with Francois CORMIER, her son from the 1st marriage; she was buried on 1 Dec 1774.

!MARRIAGE: BEWARE, PROBLEM. Could Arsenault, H&G, p. 930 have the wrong first name of her husband? Brother Jean Baptiste instead? Francois was 16 years younger than his wife when he married at 21 to an Anne CYR. Child (Marie Blanche) of this marriage has same name in two places, with two different husbands? (See Arsenault, H&G, pp. 830 and 832.) Possibly same man? Or married first to Jean Baptiste, he died, remarried to much younger brother Francois. Could Francois have married one of the other Anne CYRs? [One was born in 1720 to Guillaume CYR and Marguerite BOURG.]

!CENSUS: 1714, Beaubassin, Acadia, household #35, listed as 5th child of Jean SIRE and Francoise MELANSSON. They lived next door to the Abraham ARSENEAU family, whose son [which?] she married later, after 1st husband died.

!RESIDENCES: She was a widow at Miquelon in 1767 with a son from her first marriage, Francois CORMIER (Arsenault, H&G, p. 832).

!PARENTS: Which? Could she be the daughter of Jean & Francoise MELANSON, and the widow of Francois CORMIER. Listed in Arsenault, H&G, p. 832 as being married to Jean-Baptiste's brother Francois ARSENAULT, born in 1725, and thus 16 years younger than she is. There is a daughter of this marriage listed, Marie-Blanche, born in 1748. But the same daughter, same birthdate, is listed for Jean-Baptiste ARSENAULT and Anne CYR (no parents). Same?
