Obituary:

ANNE FAYE CANNADAY SMITH McATEER, 90, of Memphis, formerly of Alamo, Tenn., retired buyer and manager of the Premium Department of the old Witsell Brothers Dean Lily Co., died Monday of pneumonia at Methodist Hospital Germantown. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. She graduated from Alamo (Tenn.) High School and attended the old West Tennessee State Teachers College. Mrs. McAteer, the widow of George Rueben Smith and Joseph D . McAteer, leaves a daughter, Phyllis S. Spence of Baltimore; a son, George Roderick Smith of Germantown, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. John's United Methodist Church or Hillhaven Convalescent Center on Primacy Parkway.
