From John Homman

I have tied an additional child into Jacob. My direct descendat Andrew Homman/Howman was born 4/13/1823 in Stark County Ohio, and I believe he was surely a child of Jacob and Elizabeth. He moved to Kosicko County Indiana in late 1840's where Andrew met his wife.

I noted that apparenty after Elizabeth (Jacob's wife) dies in 1850, his child Hannah (sister to Andrew) moved to Kosicko County Indiana with her husband Andrew Rebman - I think the two Andrew's were close friends. Noted census has Jacob living with Hannah and Andrew Rebman in Kosicko County Indiana. I believe Jacob died in Kosicko County Indiana while living with Andrew Rebman and Hannah. My Andrew and Hannah took him back to be buried in Wayne Ohio. After that, my Andrew moved on to Kansas where we all came from.

After reviewing the marriage certificate of Andrew and Fanny, plus the 1860 and 1870 census review, Andrew was born Howman. This is further evidenced by the fact that there were no Hommans, or Houman's in Stark county Ohio in 1820 cenus or 1830 census when Andrew was born. But there were Howman's. in Stark County Ohio in both census.

Obituary states "born in Stark Co Ohio, in childhood moved with his parents to Wayne County near Wooster Ohio where he grew up. In 1844, he moved to Kosciusko Co, Indiana. In 1849, he married Miss Fannie Bragg and joined the United Brethren Church and served as a class steward. Mr. Homman moved to Saline Co. in 1878 until his death."
