Acquisition of Land from Northern Neck Warrants & Surveys:
- Andrew Bourn(e), 16 Sept. 1747 - 6 Aug. 1747; 575 acres near the brs. of Muddy River in great fork of Rappahannock River; adj. William Tapp, Robert Eastham. Chain Carriers - Edward Land & Wm. Tapp, Jr. Note of surveyor - The dividing line was altered between Tapp & Bourne "because when Mr. Wood Returned their plans (as were sent to me with the Warrants) he did not make the dividing line where they agreed it should be & where they marked their dividing Cor: which was showed to me (as their dividing Cor: by agreement)- by William Tapp & Lewis Davis Yancy." An earlier survey included: Surveyed for Andrew Bourne of Caroline County; 586 acres in Orange County., entered 6 May 1737. In the great fork of Rappahannock River near the brs. of Muddy Run. Surv. Acquisition of Land from Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants 1742-1775, Vol. 2:

Andrew Bourne lived in Culpeper County near the Rapidan River between Racoon Ford and the Madison County line. He obtained a land grant 11 Jun 1749 in the Great Fork of the Rappahannock River adjoining the land of his brother-in-law William Tapp in Culpeper County. There is no record of the birth dates of any of his children.
Will dated 22 Aug 1788, recorded 18 Jan 1790, Culpeper County, VA, Will Book C p 357. Estate inventory recorded 18 Aug 1790. Complete transcript of will available in file. Source p.152, The Virginia Genealogist, Vol 6 "Andrew Bourne, Senr., Orange, L104.3.11 by account Fredericksburg Store, William Cunningham & Co. He died during the war and left a good estate. His Acting executor is William Morton, now of Orange Co. "This from British Merchantile claims per treaty agreement, Reports of Wm. W. Hening. 15 June 1802.

Executors were William Morton and William Pannill. Witnesses were John Bourn, Benjamin Thornton, Reuben Newman and William Bourn
