There are several Amos Sharps born in Ohio about the same time. Amos, son of James Sharp and Sally West, is easily confused with Amos Villorie Sharp, son of John Sharp and Betsey Davis (his death certificate incorrectly names her Harris). Amos Villorie Sharp married Laura Elizabeth Davis and they lived and raised a family in Newaygo County, Michigan. See Find a Grave: [2]

Amos married Ellen Dial in 1854 in Ashtabula, but she died a year later. Since there was more than one Amos Sharp in Ashtabula, Ohio then, it's possible this is not our Amos. For now, she is placed with Amos Villorie Sharp. Name: Amos Sharp

By the 1870 Census Amos and Delia are living in Paris, Kent, Michigan, and Frank and Anna are not included in the members of the household. FamilySearch [6]

Amos and Delia end up living in Mecosta County, Michigan.
