Biography
Allen Clare was born on 1 July 1783 in Kentucky, the sixth or seventh of eight known children and the fourth or fifth of seven sons of George Clare and Mariah Cox.
On 18 December 1810 , when he was twenty=seven, he married Leah Foley. She bore him one known child, a son whom they named Francis.
On 4 April 1845, when he was sixty-one, Allen died of unknown causes in Silex, Lincoln County, Missouri.
He was buried in the Clare Cemetery, Silex, Lincoln County, Missouri.[1]
