Alice is shown as "Alexandria" (?) in 1880 US Census, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. Alice is also shown as "Olga" in Rutkowska (1943; p. 70) and is mistakenly entered as "Alexander" in the 1850 US Census, Washington, D.C.

Alice, age 12 (b. abt 1848 in New York) is shown as a daughter of Antoinette Tyssowski; Alice is living with her mother and 6 siblings. [John, her father, had died 3 years earlier]. Alice was the first of the Tyssowski children to be born in the US.
This census, taken 3 years after the death of Jan Tyssowski, indicates "Antoinette (Antonina) Tyssowski" as the head of household; "Alice, age 12", born in "New York" is shown along with her six siblings.

"Alexander" (Alice?), age 2 (shown as a male), and 4 siblings are indicated living with her father, John "Tissowski" (Tyssowski), and her mother, Antoinette in the Tochman household.. [The age is correct for Alice who was born in 1848; the interviewer probably made a mistake about the sex of the child, perhaps because of language difficulties).
