1930 !RESIDENCE: New York, Nassau Co., Seaford - abt 1930 - Aunt Dorie remembers her grandfather living in Seaford, NY on the canal and Seaford Harbor, and that it was a short walk from her house on Cedar Street in Seaford.

!BIOGRAPHY: 1950 Mom (Laura Cassedy Bitter) remembers visiting him at his second hand furniture store in Seaford on Long Island, New York in 1950. Aunt Dorie remembers him as being cold, she was only on his lap once. Census of 1920 shows Alfred and Irene in Lynbrook, Nassau county, NY with a 16 year old stepchild. Aunt Dorie remembers the stepson as being a flashy dresser known as "Duke" who did not get along at all with her Grandfather Alfred (his stepfather). Aunt Dorie also remembers them having a "vicious terrirer" dog that had to be caged before company could visit.
