In the name of God Amen: I Alexander Trotter of the county of Washington in the territory, South of the river Ohio, being of perfect mind and memory, blessed be God for the same, doth make and publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following that is to say I recommend by soul unto almighty God who gave it me and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian manner at the descreation of my executors in hope of a joyful resurection through mercies of my redeemer Jesus Christ and for the worldly estate where with it has pleased God to bless me with. I give and dispose thereof as follows; first I give and bequeath to my loving wife Isabella Trotter all her clothes and saddle and all the furniture of the house and two cows of her own choice and seventy dollars and I give and bequeath all my clothes to my two sons David and Joseph Trotter to be equally divided between them and all the rest of my property after funeral expenses and legal debts is paid to be equally divided between my loving wife Isabella and my three children Susanna, David, Joseph Trotter all my property that I have not bequeathed, Bonds, Notes and cash excepted to go to public sale. Also I appoint Isabella Trotter and James Carmicle Sr., the whole executors of this my last will and testament desiring them to execute the same according to my true intent and meaning and lastly I do hereby revoke all former wills and wills made by me made and declare this only to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said Alexander Trotter have here unto set my hand and affixed m seal this twenty fourth day of April, one thousand seven hundred and ninety five.
