Article in London Free press Oct 14, 1926 identifies an Alfred Prodger (Albert) as having committed suicide by drinking carbolic acid. Albert was a patient at the Victoria Home for the Incurables. He gave no reason for the act. He was reported as crippled and used two canes to walk. He died shortly after admitance to Victoria hospital. The obit listed his name as Albert. Oct 16, 1926 Obit for Albert Prodger, age 63. London Free Press. 1901 census Toronto Ward 5 sub dist C-3 pg 102 ln 13 Alfred Prodgers with "s" listed as convict age 36 year,s labourer. I assume that this is Albert Prodger. Name of prison not listed in census. References
