From the October 30, 1930, edition of the Clayton County Register (Elkader, Ia.) Albert Moses The death of Albert Moses on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Monona hospital, brought to a close the life of a busy man. The deceased was born in Chicago Nov. 6, 1871. Later the family came to Iowa, settling on a farm near Watson. Jan. 8, 1895, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Lestina and this union was blessed with six children. Those left to mourn his departure are his widow and six children: Mrs. Vlad Macha and William, both living on farms near Monona, Mrs. Geo. Yonda of Lamont; Arthur, Simon and George, all at home; seven grandchildren; his aged mother, Mrs. Catherine Moses; four sisters and five brothers: Mrs. W.B. Ferguson, Mrs. J.W. Lotza, Mrs. Jos. Tayek, John Simon, Jacob and Thomas, all of near Monona, Mrs. Wm. McClure of Malcolm, Ia., and Joseph of Madison, Nebr. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 21, from the home, with burial in the city cemetery. Image Gallery
