Agnes Lemmon Obituary

ST. PARIS – Agnes M. Lemmon, 98, of St. Paris, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana, Ohio.

She was born on July 7, 1925, in South Charleston to Walter and Elva (Slagle) Massie.

Agnes was a truly family-oriented person, whose sole pastime was spending time with her loved ones.

Agnes is survived by her daughter, Sandra Partington; granddaughter, Rebecca (Scott) Sarver; brother, Jerry (Gloria) Massie; sister, Eleanora Schneider; and sister-in-law, Sandy Massie.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, John Lemmon, siblings, Francis (Anna Jane) Massie, Marcella (Roger) Mahan, Eloise (Russell) Putnum, Raymond (Margie) Massie, Mary (Bill) Lee, Rosella (Clyde) Lee and Roger Massie.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, in the ATKINS, SHIVELY & VERNON Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, St. Paris, Ohio, where funeral services will follow at noon with Pastor Tom Walter officiating.

Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made to either The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036 or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton Ohio 45420.
