(Medical):She was paralysed at the time of the birth of her third daughter Adriana Johanna and was confined to a wheelchair. Baby hurt her back on a number of previous occasions the first when she was thrown from a horse carriage into a river when the horse bolted. The second time was when she fell down steps when visiting a movie house in Johannesburg, South Africa. She also had a traumatic experience with the birth of her son Petrus Paulus who died at birth when his neck broke during normal child birth. All of these incidents might have contributed to her paralyses.
