William Augustus Braucht data confirmed by descendent, Mrs. Ruth E. Braught (not Ruth E. Allen/ Braught), 802-8th St., W. Des Moines, IA 50265. She was adamant about child names, but had only some data for each, Dec 1983. Beymer Cemetery stone of Absolom Braught shows Iowa Pvt 2 Inf 19 Div WWI marker with Jun 22, 1890 -Oct 29, 1951. Rory Taylor confirmed New Virginia Cemetery stones with records I sent to him. (at IGS see Veterans Buried in Warren Co., IA pg. 469 ). Information received Oct 2005 from Linda Uhland, 1931 Grant Ave., North Bend, OR 97459: [email protected] provided most of the Decker data shown here (and more in the file for A.A. Braucht 64c8c5c1. I wonder if A.A. took the McDaniel children when he married Mabel; what happened to her first marriage, etc., but must focus on more direct line data.

  1. Absolam is buried in the Old NE section row 3 near the south end beside his parents. Wife Mabel Braucht is buried in the Lower Center Section, Row 17 about in the middle of the row, N to S and Anges McDaniel (stillborn child of her first marriage with sextant spelling, assumed to be a male) 1913 is buried beside her. It appears that the separate plots suggest that they were purchased separately in advance.
