    "In 1819 young Abram Garfield went to Ohio, and doubtless visited the Ballous in Zanesville; he being twenty and Elizabeth eighteen at the time. He located and opened up a farm at Newburg, near Cleveland, and in 1821 went to Zanesville and married Eliza (as she was evidently called, and their fourth child was James A. Garfield, b. 1831."
