    [Based on secondary sources listing James as the oldest child (born 1746), it would seem this should be 1748/49 or 1749/50. We known Abigail is the eldest daughter, but if she is actually the eldest child, then this could be, say, 1743/44? This last conclusion seems reasonable, given that Abigail's birth is in Brookfield, and not recorded in Lunenburg, but disagrees with both major secondary sources covering this family. The conclusion reached here impacts the analysis of possible sister Priscilla as discussed on Person:Priscilla Reed (4).]
