2:5001776James Chiles' Declaration, August 27th, 1832: Age 70; enlisted under Ensign John Taylor of Orange; served under Col. Francis Taylor in the Company of Capt. Garland Burnley, Lieut. Thomas Porter the year that Col. Wallace was taken. Starke Wright of Louisa served with him. Person:Thomas Porter (38)Since he served under John Taylor of Orange, its likely that all of the officers mentioned, including Tomas Porter came from East of the Blue Ridge, and likely from Orange County.
