- ↑ This list was originally taken from a transcription of a Virginia State marker comemorating those killed at Kings Mountain. Some of those listed are said to have served at King's Mountain, but their presence there has not been confirmed. In some cases the name listed in the transcription used, has been corrupted. "Rees Bowen", for example, is listed as "Rees Brown". "William Flower" as given in the transcription may be "William Fowler" who is said to have served at King's Moountain, but that service is not confirmed by Moss 1990.
