The following entries are taken from Volume 680, Page 673 et seq, p. 694 Maryland State Archives, Index to Maryland Provincial and General Court Deeds, 1658-1790.

These data include land records through out Maryland. No dates are given in the index, making it difficult to see whether these records have any relevance at all to research for Old Chester County Houstons. The three records, related to property of Robert Houston, "deceased grandfather of James Houston", father of John, father of James, show a similarity of names to Cecil County Houston's, and may have relevance. Items such as this should be pursued in particular. Robert may be the father of Christopher Houston of Iredell County.
