WILEY ELIJAH JOHNSON, son of John Philip and Eliza Jane 'Reddick' Johnson, was born in Arkansas on May 10, 1862. On December 25, 1887 in Red River County, Texas he married Virginia Lee Smith, daughter of Coleman and Julia M. "Bankston" Smith. Virginia was born on April 23, 1867 in Red River County, Texas. Wiley, along with his brother, Charlie, his father-in-law Coleman Smith, and three of Coleman's sons, all owned land along the of the Red River, in Garretts Bluff, Lamar County, Texas. Wiley and Virginia had five children; Homer Coleman, born December 20, 1888; Malona born October 30, 1891; twins, John P., and Viola Loretta, born sometime around 1895 and died about 1898. Around 1900 Wiley moved his family to the town of Antlers in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) where their youngest daughter, Myrtle May, was born on March 16, 1901. In 1901 Wiley and two of Virginia's brothers, W.C. and T.H. Smith, along with several other prominent men, founded the Antlers Bank and Trust Company. Following statehood in 1907, Wiley served two terms as the Pushmataha County Recorder of Deeds. In the November 1910 election, Wiley, a Democrat, beat his Republican opponent by 203 votes. He was a carpenter and built several houses in Antlers, and was an active worker in the Odd Fellows Lodge, and the WOW (Woodmen of the World). The 1920 census lists him as a "meat cutter" owning his own shop in Antlers. Wiley and Virginia were both faithful church members. Virginia was a Baptist and Wiley a Methodist. Virginia Lee died in Antlers, on August 11, 1917. Wiley Elijah died on October 10, 1934 in Warren, Arkansas, while visiting his daughter Myrtle May and her husband Clifton Watson. Wiley and Virginia are buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma.

Wiley and Virginia had five children; Homer Coleman, born December 20, 1888; Malona born October 30, 1891; twins, John P., and Viola Loretta, born about 1895 and died very young about 1898. Around 1900 Wiley moved his family to the town of Antlers in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) where their youngest daughter, Myrtle May, was born on March 16, 1901.

Philip JOHNSON, m: Elizabeth ???, migrated from Scotland to Ireland to Prince Edward County, Virginia prior to 1780.

The only known son was John Philip JOHNSON, b: 10-19-1780 in Virginia. m: (1st) Martha ELAM, had 2 children Mary Elizabeth & Philip Henry. m: (2nd) in Lawrence County, Alabama to Mary HARRAL, b: 1-1-1797, daughter of Dr. Harmon HARRAL & Rachel BROWN Harral. Sometime after 1825 John & Mary moved to Weakley County, Tennessee & settled on "Johnson Hill" near the Meridian Cumberland Presbyterian Church where they were both faithful members. John died on 12-18-1836, & Mary on 10-16-1881. Both are buried in Meridian Cemetery. Their children were: William Brown, (1821-1911, m: Sarah GROOMS); Harmon C., (1823-1897, m; 1st Mary Francis WARD, 2nd Hawkins FINCH); Elizabeth Ann, (b: 1825, m: James CRABTREE); Susan Jane, (1827-1898, m: 1st Edwin QUINN, 2nd William SPEAR); Mary Clay Nancy Alabama, (1829-1876, m: John POUNDS); Rachel Clementine, (1832-1918, m; Moses PERRY); John Philip, (1834-1910, m: Eliza Jane REDDICK); Elijah W., (1837-1912, m: Mary GRISSOM).

John Philip JOHNSON, 3rd son of John & Mary Johnson, b: 1-9-1834 in Weakley County, Tennessee m: Eliza Jane REDDICK in Weakley County, Tennessee on 1-4-1860, b: 12-24-1839, daughter of Lewis Washington REDDICK & Susanah GROOMS Reddick. After marriage they moved to Arkansas.; around 1866 back to Weakley County, Tennessee; about 1871 back to Arkansas.; about 1878 to Bowie County, Texas. The 1900 census puts them in Lamar County, Texas, and sometime before 1900 they moved to Hugo, Choctaw County, Oklahoma. John died there on 2-15-1910 and Eliza on 12-3-1916. They are buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, Oklahoma. Their children were: Washington P., (b: 1861); Wiley Elijah, (b: 1862, d: 1934); John W., (b: 1866); Charles P., (b; 1869); Mary S., (b: 1869); M.J., (b: 1872); W.E., (b: 1874); C.E., (b; 1878).

They moved to Garretts Bluff, Lamar County, Texas around 1888, and then around 1900 moved to Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma. Virginia Lee died in Antlers on 8-11-1917 and Wiley on 10-10-1934 in Arkansas while visiting his youngest daughter and her husband. They are buried in the IOOF (International Order of Odd Fellows) cemetery in Antlers, Oklahoma. Their children were: Homer Coleman JOHNSON, (b: 12-20-1888, m: Alberta PARKER, d: 12-23-1975); Malona Jane (b: 10-30-1891, m: Gates CARLISLE, d: 4-6-1977); twins, Viola & Loretta, (b: ca 1895, d: ca 1898); Myrtle May (b: 3-16-1901, m: Clifton WATSON, d: 5-5 1991).

Moved to Oklahoma City in early 1930's, m: Alberta Maude PARKER in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 2-17-1932, b: 4-3-1904, Kansas, daughter of Albert Rufus PARKER & Migno Maude BEATTY Parker. Homer Coleman died in Oklahoma City on 12-23 1975, and Alberta Maude on 8-1-1995. They are buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City.
