Is marriage date 1834 or 1844? Thomas emigrated to the US around 1843/44. In a prayer book belonging to Thomas, in which many family dates are recorded, it says of his own marriage "White Rigg in Swinhop Northumberland in the year of our Lord 1834". (Prayer book in possession of Mark Chatt of Sedro-Woolley, Washington.)
