Robert C. Shelenberger, 86, formerly of State Road, died at 10:50 a.m. on Nov. 26, 1991, in East Liverpool City Hospital, East Liverpool, Ohio, following a short illness.

He was born in New Castle on Jan. 14, 1905, to Alfred and Nannie Pattison Shelenberger.

Mr. Shelenberger was a retired custodian from Westminster College. He belonged to Faith Country Chapel and its WIlson Bible Class.

Surviviors include his wife, the former Gladys Grim, whom he married Nov. 16, 1932; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Collins of Beaver Falls and Sandra S. Shelenberger of East Liverpool, and three sons, Robert C. of Boyle, Miss., Fredrick E. of Anderson S. C., and Donald E. of New Wilmington; two brothers, Wilbert of New Castle and Harold of Seabring, Fla, 12 grandhildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Paul; and two sisters, Della Helle and Roberta Shelenberger.

Visitation will be observed Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home, 2429 Wilmington Road.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cunningham's by the Rev. William Hunley, pastor of Faith Country Chapel. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Gladys L. Shelenberger, 80, of 15865 Highland Drive, East Liverpool, Ohio, died in East Liverpool City Hospital at 8:10 p.m. Jan. 26, 1993.

She was born in New Castle on June 23, 1912, to Charles and Jennie Black Grim.

She was married to R. Clyde Shelenberger, who died Nov. 26, 1991.

Mrs. Shelenberger was a homemaker and a member of the Calcutta Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool.

She is survived by three sons, Robert C. of Boyle, Miss., Frederick E. of Anderson, S. C., and Donald E. of New Wilmington; two daughters, Sandra S. Shelenberger of East Liverpool and Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Collins of Beaver Falls; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son Norman Paul Shelenberger; three brothers, Peter, George, and Wilson Grim; and two sisters, Bertha Candioto and Mary Hoover.

Calling hours will be tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the R. Cunnningham Funeral Home Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.

Services will be at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Basil Shaw of Calcutta Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
