On the 1900 U.S. Census - Michigan, Montcalm County, Edmore (Village), S.D. 11, E.D. 133, Sheet 1A, Mahalah mentioned that she had 1 child and that the child was no longer living. Also, Rosetta and Robert A. were listed as "Adopted." They were both born in Michigan; but the parents' birtplaces were "Don't Know."

I have found a birth certificate for Rosetta; but it mentions that Robert and Mahalah were her parents.

During an interview with my grandmother, she mentioned that Robert changed his name to Lambert. I have not, yet, begun to research this possibility. On the 1920 U.S. Census for Robert Meadows, I noticed that a Homer Lambert is listed below. The age of young man is the same as Robert A. This is a clue that I would need to do further research.
