    Peter L. Miller born in Pennsylvania about 1819, also came to Iowa in 1853. On May 31, 1854, he married Mary Ann Downing. They had no children, but their nephew Richard Downing stayed with them until he was married. Both Mary Ann and Peter are buried in the Glendon Cemetery.
